Alila Ubud, formerly known as The Chedi Ubud, is a blend of contemporary design and traditional Balinese architecture perched on the slopes of a hill, beneath which runs the Ayung River, offering guests a tranquil retreat and a taste of the traditional Bali.
Hotel Location
Situated in the traditional Balinese hill village of Payangan and on the banks of Ayung River, the resort is 15 minutes away from Bali artistic and cultural center of Ubud, where art galleries, museums, temple festivals and dances abound. It is a 60-minute drive from Ngurah Rai International Airport and 40 minutes away from Denpasar City.
Hotel Rooms
Alila Ubud comprises 56 Deluxe Rooms and 7 VIllas perched on stilts like tree houses, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding rice terraces and of the Ayung River below. All rooms and villas are equipped with individually-controlled air conditioning, IDD phone, minibar, safety deposit box, hairdryer, and yukata. Villas also have a CD player and a private sundeck. Superior and Deluxe Rooms are housed in two-storey blocks designed to resemble a Balinese village, furnished with double or twin beds. Deluxe Rooms, located on the lower level, come with individual garden terraces and a back courtyard with an open-air bathroom and shower, while Superior Rooms, located on the upper level, have a private balcony and unobstructed views. Balinese Valley Villas feature a spacious walk-around wooden deck overlooking the Ayung River Valley and are equipped with king-size beds. Two of the villas come with a private tropical garden and an outside bath surrounded by a lotus pond.
